NUDE LIFE FIGURE DRAWING
WHY DO IT?
Nude life figure drawing holds a pivotal role in artistic education, serving as a fundamental practice that hones an artist's understanding of anatomy, form, and expression. At Arterly Obsessed, we believe that by studying the human figure in its raw state, we can gain insight into the intricacies of the human form, fostering a deeper connection between artistic representation and the nuances of the human experience.
Our nude life drawing sessions take place in our cosy studio on Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm (2 hours). All materials will be provided including paper, pencils, charcoal, pastels, canvases and paints. Feel free to bring your own materials. We usually put on some relaxing music and provide some light refreshments (we also have some free beers sponsored by Edelweiss). Participants are also more than welcome to BYOB! We aim to provide a conducive environment for everyone to draw and to foster a sense of community. Each week a different model will come into the studio to allow our participants to draw a diverse range of body types. We usually begin our session with short 2 minute poses to get everyone warmed up followed by 5 minute, 10 minute and 20 minute poses.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT OUR SESSIONS
DO I NEED EXPERIENCE TO JOIN?
No experience is needed to join! As long as you have an interest in nude figure drawing, come chill with us! Our instructors are highly skilled, with many years of figure drawing experience to help guide all of our nude life figure drawing session goers.

How to use different materials to draw and paint the human figure
Apart from learning from our instructors, we always encourage our participants to learn from each other through conversations during the breaks.
*Do note that all participants must be 18 years old and above to join in our sessions.

We also organise private nude figure drawing sessions for groups of friends or even for a hen’s party. Drop us an email, WhatsApp or DM on IG to figure out dates and times! Rates for private sessions will differ from our regular sessions. We hope to see you at our studio!
